MoneyMe Financial Group Pty Ltd ACN 163 691 236, Australian Credit Licence 442218 is committed to complying with it’s Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) under the Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019 (Cth).
The aim of DDO is to assist customers obtain appropriate financial products by requiring issuers and distributers to have a consumer centric approach to the design and distribution of those financial products.
What is a Target Market Determination?
A Target Market Determination (TMD) is a document which outlines the nature of each of our products, and who each product is appropriate for (the target market). It also describes the conditions placed on distributing our products to customers and the events or circumstances that require us to review the TMD.
The TMD includes:
The target market for our product: outlines the likely needs, financial situation and objectives of the customers that form the target market for each of our products.
Distribution conditions: details the restrictions or conditions that make it likely that the customers who acquire the product are in the target market.
Trigger events:events or circumstances that would require us to review the TMD
Reporting requirements: establishes the information that must be provided to us by our distributers on a required frequency, including complaints raised by customers.
